Cooking fish and listen to music - Ten fishes and ten records.

Often when Im coocking I listen to music and then a certain music, song or artists pops up in my mind. It starts as soon as I start handeling the ingredients fileting and bone plocking and so on until the dish is ready on the table with all that comes with it. Sometimes it amazes me how the songs just come to me, songs I have`nt heard in a long time or just listend to a couple of times.

I got an idea that I would make a list over 10 different kind of fish recipies that I have cooked and connect 10 different records to it. All just for fun! I highly recomend that you listen to the music while you cook or eat the food.

1 ) Salt cod, complet meal straight from the oven with sun dried tomatoes, olives and mashed potatoes.
Music recomended: U2 – Under the blood red sky.

 

 

 

 

2) Panfried or grilled monkfish with baked potatoe and bearnessouce.

Music recomended: Rammstein – Mutter.
 

 

 

 

3) Deepfried shrimps with long rice and home made sweet and sour souce.
Music recomended: James Blunt – Back to Bedlam

 

 

 

 

4) Plokkfiskur ( Fish Stew) an Icelandic tradition in all its power with thick home made rye bread buttered as thick as your hand with icelandic butter.
Music recomended: Michael Jackson – Thriller.

 

 

 

 

5 ) Cheviche, a Mexican speciality with halibut or haddock. You have to serve Doritos with this dish. While prepairing this dish you need to take your time and chop a lot.
Music recomended: Gus Gus – Arabian Horse.

 

 

 

 

6) X covered cod with coleslaw, potatoes and remoulade.
Music recomended: Skálmöld – Baldur.

 

 

 

7) Rich fishsoup with whiped cream on top and freashly baked bread.
Music recomended: Clash – London Calling.

 

 

 

 

8 ) Panfried trout with Cous Cous, sour cream and cucumber strips.
Music recomended: Of Monsters And Men.

 

 

 

 

9 ) Sushi and Sasimi.
Music recomended: Norah Jones.

 

 

 

 
10 ) Lobster; grilled, panfried or in a gratin as a starter.
Music recomended: Classic.
