This article will be based out of the sweetheart`s workday. You will pick her up at work without her knowing. The purpose of the day is to surprise your sweetheart and to make her feel good and that she will enjoy every single moment. Last but not least that you will have quality time just the two of you.
Here are few basic suggestions how to make a quality day with your sweetheart.
You pick her up from work in the morning.
You have already been in touch with her boss, got her off from work for the rest of the day and even until noon the next day. When you surprisingly show up, it’s ideal to bring flowers and a card where you invite your sweetheart to spend the day with you. (Remember to pack her casual clothes if her work outfit is no good for what you have planned)
Plan a visit to your kids at school
Remember to talk to the teacher so he or she can plan your visit before you arrive. The child could have drawn a picture or written a poem to your sweetheart.
Light lunch
Remember to book a table and say that this is a surprise for your sweetheart. Pick a quiet and a romantic restaurant, maybe your sweethearts favourite.
Take her pampering, grooming, massage, hot tub and relaxation
Remember to make an appointment and explain that you are surprising your sweetheart. Before you go to the spa you have to have everything ready in a bag for your sweetheart. You might have to investigate what is supposed to be in the bag for a visit like this. Here comes in handy to know your sweetheart well. Here you leave her for about two hours.
Driving
Take her for a drive, maybe to her childhood home or a place from where she has good memories.
Other programs
It is good to check out if something special is going on that day. You can even pick out a special day according to that. You can go to a museum, have a cup of coffee or hot chocolate in a café, feed the ducks on the pond, buy a dress, shoes, book or a cd. You can book a surprise photo shot, visit a car sale and try extremely expensive cars, buy your favourite ice cream, go to IKEA and try out bunch of beds a giggle a little, sit down by the pond or the river with a picnic basket, go to the beach, walk up a mountain, just to mention few things.
Romantic dinner
You will cook dinner and prepare it very well. It will be extra special if you don’t normally cook. You will have to be organised, go to the store and buy all the ingredients and other things you need and maybe store it at a friend’s house so your sweetheart will not suspect anything. You will have time in the morning after your sweetheart is off to work and while she has her pampering. Remember to set the table nicely, dinner cloth, napkins, drinks, tools and so on.
Gift – poem
Write her a poem. It doesn’t matter if you have done that before or not. You can do it! Just write what your heart tells you. Tape the poem under her chair and when the moment is right you will ask her to reach under the chair and grab the poem and read it. Consider if you want to give her a little gift, but don’t do it if you don’t find the right thing. Use the opportunity while she goes to the bathroom and put the gift on the table where she sits. You can even have a little card where you have written something sweet and try to use words you have never used before.
Select the appropriate music for the night, low-key music that you are playing during dinner. You have to consider music that both of you like. Keep the television turned off. If someone comes over, you are busy no matter who it is, you ask this person to come back later. If your situation allows, it would be special to have a famous singer to come over for a surprise visit and sing a couple of songs.
Phones and a camera
Remember to get her phone and turn it off. Also turn the home phone off. Your phone should be silent. Tell everybody that might have to talk to you to call your phone, for example the babysitter. It’s a great idea to take as many photos as you can. It will be fun to look at pictures later and recall a great day.
To do list
You have to have the day off from your work. Remember to make arrangements if she calls you at work in the morning. Good to write everything down from A – Z; what to do, where to go, what to bring with and what to take care of. Like babysitting, are the kids spending the night, will someone pick them up from school and make sure they don’t tell if they know. Buy everything you have to use for dinner, prepare everything well so your quality time with your sweetheart will be used wisely. Remember to book a table and the time at the spa. Pack her bag after she has left for work. At last, remember everything your sweetheart likes but also remember what she dislikes.
