Positive Thoughts For The Day – Positive Thinking Stories

Why is enough not enough?

Have we lost the site of what is really important in life? Do we maybe have to lower our sholders, slow down so we can see all the small, beautiful and colourful things around us. My advise is this: don`t drive by so fast that you will miss all of lifes opportunities. Too many people only think about making alot of money in a short amount of time in order to gain power and plan on enjoying life as senior citizens. Why is it not enough for us just to have enough and enjoy life here and now? Lets think about pennies instead of millions but above all lets think about making life richer.

Short story 1.
It has been said that one American was once located down by the marrine in a small village in Mexico. He saw a small boat sailing in to the harbour with one man on board. The man had cought a big tunafish. The American asked the fisherman how long it took him to catch that fish. Just a little whyle was the answer. Why didn`t you catch more then, the American asked again. I don`t need more, the fisherman told the American. This is plenty enough for my family. What do you then do with all the extra time you have, the American asked. I live a good life, the fisherman replied. I sleep late in the morning, do a little fishing, play with my children, have a siesta with my wife, walk down to the village in the evenings and have a glas of wine and play the guitar with my friends.

I can give you good advise, said the American. I have an MBA degree from Harvard University. You should fish more, more fish means more money and you will be able to buy a bigger boat. With a bigger boat you will fish more and then eventually you will be able to buy a whole fleet of ships and then you are not dependent on selling the fish through intermediary, also you  can trade straight with the factories. You can build your own factories and even control the market. Unfortunately you will not be able to live here, you will have to move to a big city like New York.

How long does this take, asked the fisherman? About 20-25 years said the American. But then what, asked the fisherman. Well then comes the big moment. Look, you will list your company on the stock market and sell stocks for millions of dollars. Okay, said the fisherman, but then what?

The American got thoughtful but then said: you will move to a little village by the sea, sleep late in the morning, fish a little, play with your children, have siestea with your wife, walk down to the village in the evenings, have a glas of wine and play the guitar with your friends. !!!

Think positive, work together and love each other.

Often a big portion of our energy is spent on negative thoughts, hate, nagging and degradeation. It is important that people are aware of these negative thoughts and exploit it in a positive way. Everybody will feel better and life will automaticly get easier. When you see things in a positive but realistic point of view the situation is often not as bad as you have painted it wearing your negative glasses.

It`s not a permanent solution to complain on the radio, write negative articles in the news paper or go on line and nag and hate everbody and everything. What do we gain from trash talking polititions and other well known people in our comunity? Those kind of thoughts will only make everything worse for everybody, especially those that use negative wepons. Negative thoughts always come back to the one that sent them away…what goes around, comes around. The more negative you have in you, the bigger the bad knot in your stomach and heart will be.

Life is about making the world a better place for all, even people we don`t know. Life is about loving, healing, creating and just lay back, look up to the sky and enjoy. Lets not be envious. Lets always rejoise, share and work together.

Short story 2
An holy man was discussing with God and said: God, I want to know the difference between heaven and hell. Straigh away God took the holy man to a couple of doors. He opened the first one and the holy man looked inside. In the middle of the room was a big round table. On the centre of the table was a big pot and in the pot was a stew that smelled really good. People sitting around the table were skinny and weak. It seem as they were starving. They all had spoons in their hands that had long handles but their hands were tied to their chairs. They were able to get the food out of the pot with the spoon but since the handles were longer than their arms they were unable to get the food into their mouth.

The holy man was surprised by the misery and suffer he saw. God said: now you have seen hell.

Then they went to the second door and God opened it. The holy man looked inside and saw the excactly the same image as he saw in the other room. The big round table with the pot of stew in the centre. The people had the same spoones with the long handle. The difference was that these people were well fed, cheerful, healthy and spoke to each other.

I don`t understand this, the holy man said.

It`s simple, said God.

But it takes one talent. Like you see, these people have learned to feed each other with the long spoons, while the greedy people only think of them selves.
