I have a smoothie for breakfast every morning and I try to make them varied.Photo of Chia Seeds Usually I just use the ingredients I have at home. When I hit a good recipe for a delicious smoothie I write it down. It`s the best to start the day with such a nutritious and powerful drink like this. It keeps the hunger feeling away longer than if you would eat cereal for breakfast.  I will continue to post smoothie recipes here, which I make in my own kitchen. Healthy Diet and Powerful Monday Coconut Butter Smoothie.

I love coconut butter. Sometimes i use coconut butter instead of coconut oil. Why? Because it has a richer flavor and a better texture than coconut oil.  Make your own, homemade coconut butter is ok. Its hard to find brand coconut butter  in many places.

Coconut butter is made with whole coconut flesh, and its better to have a good work processor. A 16 ounces of dried coconut made over 2 cups and its will take about 10 minutes on a full blast, after that its slightly warm. Pour it into a clean jar and let cool.As it cools it will harden. Coconut butter is wonderful spread on toast, stirred into a creamy hot oatmeal and into smoothies.
